The 2016 Buick Enclave is designed to be a family-oriented small SUV that can haul up to eight people while getting great gas mileage. It comes in a variety of different trims, with optional packages creating even more benefits. Trims include the basic Convenience trim, the Leather trim, and the Premium trim. Deciding between these three trims (and which, if any, packages you want to add to the vehicle) requires understanding what each offers. You also need to know how much each costs, as higher trims are typically thousands of dollars more. So please take some time to really understand what you’ll get from each option before making a purchasing decision.

2016 Buick Enclave trim levels:

  • Convenience trim
  • Leather trim
  • Premium trim

Buick Enclave Convenience Trim

The basic Buick Enclave Convenience trim is appropriate for vehicle buyers who want a vehicle with no frills or who are looking to save a little money on their next vehicle purchase. It starts at $39,975 and includes a variety of useful accessories, including a 3.6L V6 engine, a remote vehicle starter, a universal home remote, Buick Intellilink AM/FM/CD with SiriusXM satellite, a 46 LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, second row captain’s seats, and a power rear liftgate. These basic accessories are available in all three trims. The Enclave Convenience trim also has a variety of packages, including those mentioned in a following paragraph. These packages will add up to $900 to your vehicle purchase price, should you choose them.

  • 3.6L V6 engine
  • 46 LTE Wi-Fi hotspot
  • Buick Intellilink AM/FM/CD radio

Buick Enclave Leather Trim

One step above the Convenience trim is the Leather trim, which starts at $44,375. It contains all of the accessories and benefits of the previous trim, but also adds a variety of comfort items. For example, it has leather-appointed seating that is easier on the skin and which doesn’t heat up under extreme temperatures. It also has eight-way power-adjustable and heated front seats with programmable memory options. This makes it easier to set a comfortable seating position for everyone who plans on driving it. This eliminates the need for fiddling around with seating adjustments for too long. The Leather trim also includes a variety of safety alerts, including a side-blind zone alert, a rear-cross traffic alert, and even a heating steering wheel for cold-weather driving conditions. Like the Convenience trim, it has access to a variety of packages, including one that the lower trim does not.

Highlights:

  • Safety alert system
  • Leather seating
  • Eight-way adjustable seating with memory

Buick Enclave Premium Trim

The most expensive 2016 Buick Enclave trim is the Premium, which starts at $48,230. It has all the accessories of the previous trims, but also includes its own advantages. For example, it has heated and cooled front seats, which makes it more comfortable to drive in both winter and summer. It also has a power-tilt and telescoping steering wheel for easier adjustment. Safety features, such as forward collision alert and a land departure warning, make this the safest Enclave trim available. Other options, such as the articulating headlamp and the Bose premium sound system, create a luxury vehicle for just about any family. Adding the available packages, which the Premium has two more of than the Convenience and one more than the Leather, make it even more comfortable and enjoyable.

Also available in all three trims is the Buick interior protection package ($250), which adds all-weather floor mats and cargo mats to the vehicle, and a traveling package ($575) which lets you tow up to 4,500 pounds with a trailer hitch and a heavy-dusting engine cooling system.

Higher level packages include the Hit The Road accessory package. Available for $1,105 in the Leather and Premium trims, it includes body-color molded assist steps, a roof rack cross-rail package, and all-weather cargo mats for easier long-distance traveling. The Experience Buick package, available only in the Premium trim at $2,375, includes a tilt-sliding power moonroof, a 4,500 pound trailer package, and 20-inch right-machined aluminum wheels.
