Sport

Like all Miata models, the Sport trim has a 181-horsepower four-cylinder engine with 151 foot-pounds of torque. Rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual transmission is standard, while an automatic is optional. The Sport trim is a two-door convertible, called the soft top, and has a 50-50 front and back balance, which is why it has such great handling and is so much fun to drive. There is an Activesense Sport package available which adds lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and “smart” brakes. Android and Apple Carplay are also standard, along with a seven-inch display screen. All Miatas are rated at 30-35 MPG. The Sport trim starts at $25,730.

Club

Stepping up to the next trim level, you get the option of a retractable hardtop. It slides back without taking away storage space from the trunk, which doesn’t take away from any cargo space. The Club trim adds even more sporty features to enhance performance. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and keyless entry are all standard at this trim. The Club version adds a nine-speaker premium sound system and it has headphones. The Club has cloth seats and heated sports seats are available. The Club trim focuses on performance, with a Brembo/BBS Recaro package that includes 17-inch wheels, an Aero kit and heated sports seats for $4,400. A package with leather seats is also optional at $3,770. The Club trim starts at $32,945.

Grand Touring

The Grand Touring trim is the most luxurious, but this is still a fun sports car. This trim level starts at $34 410. It has adaptive headlights, heated leather seats, navigation, automatic wipers, and automatic climate control. Al of the safety features in the Activesense package is standard at this trim. The Grand Touring trim does not have all the sports features of the Club, but you can add them as options. The Grand Touring package also has special paint packages for $500-$600 for either white or gray and auburn. This trim focuses more on luxury, and has steering wheel controls for the sound system and many other car functions. The primary monitor has a touchscreen interface. Internet access is also available at the top trim.
