The 2016 Honda Odyssey is a full-sized minivan that offers plenty of room and some nice features even at the lowest trim level. The Odyssey starts with the LX, and goes to the SE. The EX is the third trim level, and it features sub-trim levels that give you even more options at the higher end of this vehicle’s possibilities. A fourth option is the Touring and Touring elite package, which offers the ultimate in luxury. The second row can be configured into many shapes to fit most of your needs. The Odyssey LX is the base package, and comes with a 3.5 liter V6 engine. It has 17-inch steel wheels, a rear spoiler, two zone air conditioning, power passenger front seat, an eight-inch screen with information and entertainment options. The LX also comes with a rearview camera, and is equipped to connect to Wifi and Bluetooth technologies. The second row can be configured to make a middle aisle or a side aisle. The LX is listed as a seven-passenger minivan, while all the higher trim packages are listed as 8-passenger capable.

The SE has everything the LX has, and adds more options. As you go up in trim packages, you add more features. The SE has all that the LX has, and adds a household type power outlet, a vacuum cleaner, satellite radio and a separate entertainment system for the second or third row. The SE adds the option of a 60-40 third row split that adds to your configuration options. The SE also offers electronic brake assist and brake force distribution for added safety. The SE adds the comfort of a leather wrapped steering wheel, and the convenience of an automatic dimming rearview mirror.

Odyssey EX and Ex-L
The EX ads heated mirrors, power sliding doors, keyless entry and starting. The second row is adjustable, and the front center console can be removed. The EX also has a blind spot camera system to help you avoid accidents while switching lanes. There is also a 7-inch touch screen, and a smart phone app you can use for a variety of functions in this vehicle. You will have to choose between a voice operated navigation system or the rear seat entertainment system, as you cannot get both. THE EX package adds RCA video input as well as headphone jacks and two wireless headsets in the rear entertainment systems. The EX-L adds a one-touch power moonroof feature.

Touring and Touring Elite
This is the luxury edition of the Odyssey. It has 18-inch wheels and fog lights. There are front and rear parking sensors, and driver memory settings, which is handy for multiple drivers. Navigation and rear seat navigation are standard on this model. The elite version adds xenon headlights, a blind spot warning system, which eliminates the camera. The rear seat entertainment system is upgraded, and there is a 12-speaker surround sound audio system available. The super high definition DVD movie system is standard on the Touring editions, and is optional on the SE and LX versions.

The Honda Odyssey offers a lot of space and a comfortable ride at any trim level. The trim packages offer varying levels of comfort and convenience, but the 3.5 liter V6 cranks out 350 horsepower regardless of package. On the Touring version it will go from zero to 60 in eight seconds, and is rated at 22 miles per gallon. Regardless of your trim package, the Odyssey offers front wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Odyssey is one of the more highly rated mini-vans. It is big, but still gets reasonable gas mileage and offers a very comfortable ride for as many as eight adults.
